to be a mother.

Woman
I don’t feel like a woman sometimes.
Women carry babies and make a home.
Sometimes I think I’m beyond repair, who would want me.
From such a very young age I knew my destiny was to be a mother.
Sometimes I feel empty inside, there is a void, the “thing” missing, it’s a child.
People constantly asking “when are you going to pop one out”. Its not like going to shop to get milk.
The man has to be father material, not every man is cut out for it.
I’m scared.
I’m scared I will never have the privilege to be a mother. The gift to raise an amazing child who will be selfless and loving. I’m scared I will never feel the love a mother has for her child. That unbreakable bond.
I don’t want an empty womb, sew it with your seed and let me nurture it.
